Curriculum Vitae
Vibor Novak was born in Čakovec in 1981, where he finished elementary school and high school for science and mathematics. In 2006, he graduated from the Geology and Paleontology Department of the Faculty of Science in Zagreb.
At the beginning of 2007, he was employed as an expert associate at the Croatian Geological Survey as part of the Geological Map of the Republic of Croatia 1:50000 project. At the end of 2010, he was elected to the position of Early Stage Researcher in the Marie Curie Initial Training Network and employed by the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre in the Netherlands. He received his Doctorate in 2014 from the Faculty of Geosciences at the Utrecht University.
At the end of 2014, he was employed by CGG Robertson in the UK as part of a geo-consulting team as aa stratigrapher/micropaleontologist. In mid-2018, he returned to Čakovec, where he continued to provide a consulting services in the field of hydrocarbon exploration. Since 2022, he has been employed as a research associate at the The Institute for Quaternary Paleontology and Geology of CASA.
