Curriculum Vitae
Zvonimir Krajcer was born on September 9, 1946, in Maribor. He graduated in 1970 from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb. That same year, he went to the U.S., where he specialized in cardiology at Lutheran Hospital of Milwaukee (1970-1971), followed by Medical Internship Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago, (1971-1972), Passsavant Hospital, Wesley Memorial and Lakeside VA Hospital, Chicago (1972-1974), Northwestern University Chicago (1974-1974) Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas (1975-1977).
He is a member of a number of professional organizations. He has been a member, and since 1992 vice president of Alma Matris Alumni Croaticae – Southwest Chapter. He is the leader and associate of numerous research and professional projects. He is a member and founder of the American Croatian Medical Association. Since 1977 he has worked as a cardiologist at the Depaertment of Cardiology at Texas Heart Institute, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Houston. He is a member of the very famous cardiology group Leachman Cardiology Asociates. He is an associate professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, and is also a lecturer at the University of Texas in Houston. His works are actively published in many well-known world journals in the field of cardiology.
He has been a corresponding member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts since 1997.
