The special scientific library, in the function of musicological research of the Department and the parent institution of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, has been operating musicological and the general public since 1980, when the then Institute for Musicological Research was founded.
The library fund contains about 10,000 st. books, magazines, musicals, sound documents, photo and microfilm collection.
